In the third quarter of 2024, the film and television app market on Android in Italy showcased intriguing trends, as tracked by Sensor Tower. Here’s a closer look at the top five applications in this category.

Mediaset Infinity maintained a steady presence in the market. Weekly downloads fluctuated, peaking at around 33.8K in late September, while weekly active users rose from 285K in early July to over 329K by the end of the quarter.

Disney+ experienced robust weekly revenue, consistently generating around $200K, with a peak of $215K in mid-August. Downloads saw a significant spike mid-September, reaching 47.7K. Active users remained strong, closing the quarter at approximately 1.06M.

Amazon Prime Video showed varied weekly revenue, with a high of $167K in early July. Downloads peaked at 35.3K in mid-August, while active users demonstrated a brief dip mid-quarter but rebounded to approximately 1.15M by the end of September.

RaiPlay saw a drop in downloads in mid-August, with weekly figures recovering to 19K by the end of September. Active users followed a similar trend, decreasing to 177K in mid-September before stabilizing around 203K.

Pluto TV: Watch Free Movies/TV experienced a gradual increase in downloads, peaking at 34.9K in early September. Active users also rose steadily, reaching 180K in the same period.
